Hartland is located on the edge of Sebasticook Valley’s wilderness, at the outlet to Great Moose Lake, a beautiful destination for sportsmen and recreational travelers in all seasons.
The shores of both Great Moose Lake and of smaller Morrill Pond attract a growing community of four-season and seasonal residents. A public boat launch on Great Moose provides access for fishing and recreational boating. ATV and snowmobile trails offer enthusiasts easy access to the local wilderness.
The Irving Tanning Community Center is the result of a unique partnership among the school district and the local community. This facility is for the use of both community and school.
